It’s now been 12 months since major construction commenced on the new Melton Hospital site, and work is powering ahead with around 350 workers on-site daily.
Structural steel and concrete works are progressing, with more than 53,770 square metres (roughly 3 AFL football fields) of concrete poured so far. More than 473,500 hours of work have been completed on-site, and construction of the Hospital is on track for completion in 2029.
Read about construction progress, and the four named cranes (including the two named after Western Health staff Mandy Cullen and Eddie Spiteri), in the first edition of the new Melton Hospital project newsletter.
