All clinical placements in anaesthesia for trainees in Emergency Medicine are organised through the Department of Emergency Medicine at Western Health.​

The department provides training in anaesthesia for Intensive Care Trainees. Generally the 12 months of clinical placements required as part of CICM training is split over 2 years with clinical placements in intensive care at Western Health.
