Podiatry helps people with medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower leg.

The Podiatry Department sees people at Footscray Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Williamstown Hospital and Hazeldean.
We also see people who are not in hospital at our clinic at Western Hospital Footscray.

Manage foot conditions such as ulcerations and infections
Improve the healing of wounds

The Podiatry department only accepts outpatient referrals from other Western Health outpatient clinics. We do not accept referrals from GPs.
The Diabetes Foot Service (DFS) is a specialist service for people needing management of chronic foot wounds and/or amputations because of diabetes. The DFS sees people in hospital and in the community. We will accept referrals from GPs, specialists, health professionals and the Royal District Nursing Service.
The department is open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
