The Rheumatology Unit is a team of specialists who see people with Rheumatic diseases. Rheumatic diseases are often painful conditions of the joints and muscles caused by swelling or inflammation. We manage all musculoskeletal conditions that do not require direct surgical care but work closely with orthopaedic surgery and allied health in the management. The unit has a research interest in Osteoarthritis.
