The Vascular Surgery team treats people with diseases of their arteries and veins.
The Vascular Surgery unit at Footscray Hospital is a busy service-oriented unit with 6 consultants, an advanced vascular surgical trainee, registrar and resident. It runs an outpatient session on a Wednesday which treats about 50 patients per week.
There is consultant cover for all vascular emergencies after hours 7 days per week.
It serves the vascular surgery needs of the Western suburbs by having operating lists at both Footscray Hospital and Williamstown Hospital.
