Before you start

 Make sure you have a copy of your most recent Resume/CV, Cover Letter and any other documents required as part of your application e.g. Testamur. 

Step 1 

In your preferred web browser go to https://careers.wh.org.au/

How to apply for a position at Western Health - Step 01

You can apply via mobile, desktop or tablet (e.g. iPad).

Here you can: 

  1. Search for a position by Keyword:

    2. Select one of these options to explore current vacancies relating to your specialty field:

After selecting a job, scroll to the bottom of the application and press the’ Apply now’ button:

Step 4 

You will now be directed to the Candidate Sign in page. 

Here you can: 

  1. Logon with preexisting details from a previous application. 

  2. Create an account to apply with.

In this section please input:  

  • Email address*
  • Retype email address*
  • Password* 
    Retype password*  
  • First name*  
  • Last name*  
  • Select Country/Region Code:  
  • Phone number:
  • Country/Region of residence:
  • Notification
  • Receive new job posting notifications.
  • Find out about more career opportunities.

You must also read and accept the Terms of Use:

After clicking on this section, the follow text box will appear. You will need to accept to continue with account creation:

Now select ‘Create Account’:

Step 8 

First you will need to upload your resume. If you have previously applied for a position, the resume may be pre-filled. 

Next, select ‘Browse’ to find and upload your resume:

Now select ‘Next to continue:

Step 10 

Your main information may be pre-filled from your resume. You can change it in this menu, and it will update in your applicant profile. 

You will need to add or confirm the details as follows: 

  • Primary Phone [Mandatory]
  • Country of Residence [Mandatory]
  • City-Suburb [Mandatory]
  • Postal Code [Mandatory]
  • Current Address [Mandatory]
  • State [Mandatory]
  • Date of Birth [Optional] 

 Additionally, you can add a secondary phone number or another address if needed and choose to opt in for our mailing list for other opportunities.

Now select ‘Next to continue:

Step 12 - Optional 

In this section you will need to add your past employer details. These include: 

  • Title
  • Company Name (mandatory)
  • Start/End Date/s 
  • Department. 

If you would like to add more than one previous employer you can select the “add” button to add any additional employers.

Now select ‘Next to continue:

Step 14 - Optional 

In this section you will need to add your past Education Certificates. 
Details you can include are:  

  • University (mandatory)
  • Highest level of achievement
  • Area of study
  • Are you currently a student
  • Your start and end dates. 

If you would like to add more than one education achievement or certificate you can select the 'Add' button to add any additional Education or Certifications.

In this section you are required to read and understand the job itself and confirm your application has been truthful.

Step 16 

Now select ‘Next to continue:

Step 17 

Here you can add your cover letter. 

Select the browse button and select your cover letter for it to be added. 

You are now at the Review step. Scroll through your information and confirm it is all correct. 

If any of it is incorrect you can press on the “Edit” button and change information in that section.   

This will display a pop-up advising you of your application. Additionally, this will update your applicant profile information.

Now select ‘Next to continue:

Step 19 

You are now at the Review stage. Here you can scroll through your information and confirm it is correct.  

If any of it is incorrect you can press on the ‘Edit’ button and change information in that section.

Step 20 

Once you’re finished reviewing you can press the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the screen:

This will display a pop-up advising you of your application. This will also update your applicant profile information.

After pressing the ‘OK’ button on the previous screen you will be taken back to your applicant profile page where you can review this job and any other you have applied for:

You have now finished your application.

After you finish

The hiring manager will contact you regarding next steps in your application. If your application is unsuccessful, you will be notified via email.
