Overview

At Western Health, we are committed to advancing research that leads to improved health outcomes, innovative clinical practices and enhanced service delivery.

We actively support and engage in research that drives positive change across the healthcare sector – locally, nationally and globally.

Our research program is built on strong collaborative partnerships with universities, hospitals, research teams and industry bodies across Australia and around the world. These relationships strengthen our ability to conduct high-quality, impactful research.

The Office for Research serves as the central hub for coordinating, supporting and promoting all research activity at Western Health.

Our research goals

Promote Western Health as a leader in healthcare research.
Build a strong culture of quality improvement by using research in everyday practice.
Support all staff – both clinical and non-clinical – to get involved in research.
Help turn research findings into real improvements in patient care.
Support team-based and cross-organisation research to better meet complex healthcare needs.
Strengthen partnerships to create more research opportunities.
