Activities are more important than ever for the residents of the Dementia Management Unit (DMU) at Sunshine says Diversional Activities Coordinator, Narinder Kaur.
“During this pandemic, our residents at DMU are unable to see their family members as much they used to, so we are trying our best to keep them engaged in meaningful activities to help reduce anxiety and isolation,” Narinder said.
To commemorate ANZAC Day, residents created posters with paper poppies during an arts and crafts session.
“These are just beautiful,” said Lebe Malkoun, Divisional Director, Aged, Cancer and Continuing Care Services. “Some wonderful work is happening with lifestyle coordinators in our new DMU,” he said.
