Our Team
Our multidisciplinary team of highly skilled radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, palliative care physicians, medical oncologists, nurses, allied health and administrative staff, deliver the highest standard of individualised patient-centred care.
Each of our attending radiation oncologists specialises in specific tumour types and is a member of the appropriate specialist multidisciplinary unit, involved with education and research across Peter Mac and Western Health sites.

Information for referrers
All cancer patients are welcome to attend SHRTC upon referral from their general practitioner or specialist. All new patient referrals are reviewed and triaged within 48 hours by a tumour stream specialist, who will determine the most appropriate clinical team to assess the patient's needs.
Please ensure the following relevant investigations are included in the referral: pathology reports, operative notes, diagnostic imaging and reports.
Referrals may be addressed to the SHRTC site director (below), or to the appropriate tumour stream specialist. Please include your name and provider number.

Getting to the centre
Train | Ginifer Railway Station, on the Sydenham Line, is a ten minute walk from the centre. |
Bus | Bus no. 408 stops in front of the Sunshine Hospital emergency department. |
Volunteer and Ambulance transport | Can be arranged for eligible patients when other transport is not practical. |
Car | There is easy access from the Western and Northern suburbs via the M80 Ring road. (Furlong Road exit) |
Parking | Car parking is available on the hospital grounds. Parking costs are covered by SHRTC for treatment appointments only. |
