Visitors are always welcome at our hospitals as they play an important part in the recovery and comfort of patients. Visiting hours are designed to allow for rest and adequate treatment, which are essential for good patient care. Visitor Information
Meal times
Western Health provides a choice of meals and will supply special diets where this is part of your medical care or to meet your cultural needs. Hot and cold drinks are available at morning tea, afternoon tea and supper. Consideration can be given to relatives or friends supplying familiar dishes. However, food should not be supplied to patients by visitors without the permission of nursing staff as it may not be suited to treatment.
The inpatient meal times are as listed below and are served during these periods:
Breakfast
Delivery time is 8.00am for all wards
Morning Tea
Delivery time is 10.00am – 10.30am for all wards
Lunch
Delivery time is 12.00pm for all wards
Afternoon Tea
Delivery time is 2.00pm – 2.30pm for all wards
Dinner
Delivery time is 5.00pm for all wards
Supper
Delivery time is 7.00pm – 7.30pm for all wards
Parking
The Urgent Care Department entrance on Clarinda street offers a 5 minute only zone for patient drop-off and pick-up. Clarinda Street has parking but please read parking signs in case restrictions are in place.
The hospital has free parking within the hospital grounds on the corner of Clarinda and Turner Street for patients and visitors.
Please read signs carefully as infringement notices may be issued on Street parking.
Designated disability parking is located at the front entrance of the hospital and also at the Emergency Department entrance.
