Simulation Centre
Western Health Simulation Centre is a purpose built, inter-professional Educational and Learning space. It is designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical practice of individuals and the collaborative development of teams.
The delivery of innovative, interactive and supportive simulation and skills based education is foremost. We strive to target individual and organisational learning needs and expectations using a team work approach.

CSL1 (4 bed ward)
Setup as a 4 bed ward, this room offers wall mounted gas outlets for all 4 fully adjustable beds, a drug safe, sinks, clinical equipment areas and a fully equipped en-suite bathroom both with lifting hoists. The room has a fixed projector and desktop computer for presentations and can also be used for debriefing .
CSL3 (Part Task)
Specifically designed for skills training with part task trainers (PTT), this room provides a flexible learning environment comprising moveable desks and chairs, fixed projector with desktop computer and video conferencing capability. This rooms also functions as a debrief room.
CSL4 (Operating Room)
This high fidelity room has been designed with advanced clinical training in mind, such as anaesthesia and surgery. It has an adjoining control room with one-way mirror and comprises a pendant gas arm, theatre lights, multiple wall mounted gas outlets and a storage bay.
CSL5 (Critical Care)
This high fidelity room has been designed to simulate an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Department (ED) cubicle or Birthing Room. It has an adjoining control room with one-way mirror and can be setup either with a combination of mannequins with ample space for a resuscitaire, catering for neonatal or maternity scenarios.
