Westside Lodge is a 30-bed mixed gender residential rehabilitation facility, offering a three-month-long therapeutic program for people experiencing problematic drug or alcohol use, as well as mental health issues.
This client-centred recovery program is tailored for adults aged 18 years and above, with stable mental health symptoms, and who have completed a substance detoxification.
The centre has been established on a foundation of promoting the well-being of clients experiencing substance use and mental health issues who require more specialised care.
The residential rehabilitation program is voluntary and appropriate for people who are beyond the acute phase of their illness, and who are motivated to work towards their recovery.
Westside Lodge is not suitable for people who:
have a history of extreme antisocial behaviours;
experience active suicidal thoughts;
present with acute positive symptoms of psychosis;
are undergoing acute withdrawal from substances;
have a low body mass index that requires medical care; and
have a moderate to severe intellectual disability.
What does the service offer?
Westside Lodge provides tailored, individualised care plans, including group therapy and one-on-one treatment, in a structured and therapeutic environment. The multidisciplinary team comprises Addiction Medicine consultants, and frontline staff including nurses, social workers, psychologists and dual diagnosis clinicians.
Our aim over the three-month period is to assist clients prepare for reintegration into the community, maintain recovery, and gain new skills such as financial literacy, budgeting, and job-readiness.
