Women’s Allied Health services provide specialist inpatient and outpatient care for patients receiving obstetric or gynaecological management at Western Health.
Women’s Allied Health provide specialist outpatient clinics in the following speciality areas:
Nutrition and Dietetics
Includes:
Physiotherapy
Includes:
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Musculoskeletal pain associated with pregnancy
Sexual dysfunction
Advanced practice physio-led clinic
Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury clinic
Physiotherapy groups including: back and pelvic care class, group exercise, hydrotherapy, physical preparation for labour
Psychology and Social Work
Inclusion Criteria
Patients must be currently receiving obstetric or gynaecological care at Western Health (or up to 12 weeks post-partum for physiotherapy) to be eligible to attend Women’s Allied Health Specialist Clinics.
Referrals can be made by a Western Health midwife, nurse, obstetrician, gynaecologist, medical specialist or allied health professional.
