Geriatric Medicine

 

​​​​​​​​The Geriatric Medicine department at Western Health incorporates a wide variety of inpatient services (both acute and subacute) and outpatient services, including community assessments through the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) clinics.  The department also provides a variety of inpatient, consultative and outpatient services to Werribee Mercy Hospital.

We aim to achieve excellence in the continuum of aged care in the western suburbs of Melbourne by working with, and for, the frail and elderly. We aim to promote healthy, active and productive ageing through teaching and research in geriatric medicine.
